John Harman, project director for Skanska, Highways Agency project manager Graham Dakin and children from Temple Sowerby School plant an oak tree as part of National Tree Week and the start of a huge planting program on the newly- opened village bypass. This was the first of more than 31,000 trees and shrubs which will be planted with almost 35,000 metres of hedgerow and 2.5 hectares of wildflower meadows.
