Motorcycle star Samuel set to follow in dad’s footsteps …

TALENTED 12-year-old Samuel Laidlow has just become the youngest person to receive the Best First Year Rider trophy from a Scottish motorcyle club.

Samuel, who lives at Dufton, turned 12 in July, which meant he could apply for his licence to race a 125cc motorbike. He had to pass a medical, a test on rules, and drive a lap under the scrutiny of a Scottish Auto Cycle Union (SACU) official before receiving his licence.
