Teenager rubs shoulders with royals to remember father he never met
THE son of a soldier who was killed when he was accidentally shot by a colleague in Northern Ireland attended a special reception at Buckingham Palace on Saturday for those who have lost a parent while they were serving in the armed forces.
Dylan Green, now aged 16, never met his father, Corporal Tony Green, as his mother, Carolyne, was five months pregnant when Tony died. However, the pair were able to remember him, alongside other families who have experienced the same loss, at the royal reception organised by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
