Sir, Every day across the whole of the UK somebody finds out they have cancer. It could be a mother, father, brother, sister or grandparent, so we are now signing people up for gift aid.

Every customer who donates bags to us can help raise money for research. For every £1 given to the charity we can claim an extra 25p, so we are asking people to have a good sort out and bring anything from menswear and ladieswear to videos, children’s toys and even records to our shop in Angel Lane, Penrith.

You will then be able to fill out a form (which takes five minutes) and be given a gift aid card which you can use in the shop every time you donate. The more people who donate, the more money we can raise to go towards theprevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Yours etc,
