Trade for all types was 5 to 8p per kg dearer on the fortnight when Harrison and Hetherington had forward 34 OTM and cast cows at Kirkby Stephen on Monday. All classes were wanted and many more could have been sold.

Store lambs of all classes sold to an improved trade when Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of store and breeding sheep at Borderway mart, Carlisle, on Monday. The top price of £86 was paid for a pen of Texels from Messrs. Barnes, Thorneyknowe.
