HOUSEHOLDERS across Cumbria will be urged to push the button when the clocks go forward this weekend.

AN Eden veterinary centre is launching a campaign to help visitors and locals stay safe from the dangers of ticks.

CHAIRMAN Mrs. Angela Digby gave a welcome to 57 members at the Penrith Ladies’ Luncheon Club meeting, held monthly at the George Hotel.

A DOMINO drive was held in Ousby community centre where eight tables of players took part.

MARGARET Pattinson presided over the latest meeting of Penrith Methodist Church Women’s Fellowship, beginning with the usual devotions.

ONE of the country’s most popular talent shows, Britain’s Got Talent, gave its full backing to Appleby Grammar School students and staff, who played to a full house with their own version of the show.

THE audience feedback at the fourth Lazonby’s Got Talent final, held in thevillage hall, was that it was a “brilliant” night and the best final ever. The event was judged by Anna Atkinson, Tasha Coutts, David Boyd and Ian Kellett who brought a wealth of musical expertise to the panel.

MOTHERING Sunday was a fine spring day and numerous families, adults and children attended St. Andrew’s Church, Penrith, for the annual celebration.
