Colleagues’ shock overdeath of Appleby man
COLLEAGUES were “shocked and deeply saddened” to hear of the death of Stephen Trevaskis, who was found in Appleby on Wednesday.
A search was launched by Cumbria police earlier that day for 45-year-old Mr Trevaskis and appeals put out on social media after he was reported missing. He was found dead in the Colby Lane area of the town.
Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious and and the coroner has been informed.
Mr Trevaskis was said to have gone missing around 1-30pm on Tuesday on foot from Barrowmoor Road, Appleby, where his parents, Ian and Karen Trevaskis, live.
A former Appleby Grammar School pupil, Mr Trevaskis had worked for Penrith firm John Richardson and Son Timber Merchants for 26 years as a machinist in its Scotland Road premises.
