Paw-fect choice ascharity partner …
EDEN Animal Rescue has been chosen as Penrith’s North Lakes Hotel & Spa’s charity partner for the year.
Hotel managers Sue Gardham, Andy Mulgrew and Sharon Brook visited the rescue centre to launch the partnership and were greeted by development manager Lynn Healey and its paw-fect patrons, springer spaniels Max and Paddy.
One of the rescue centre’s residents seeking a new permanent home will be welcomed into the hotel each Friday for treats and cuddles, followed up by a feature on social media.
The funds raised by the hotel will be specifically to begin the North Lakes Open Paw Project which will help dogs to have increased mental stimulation and enjoy a more relaxed time in kennels.
Antony Penny, general manager of North Lakes Hotel & Spa, said: “We choose a charity to support every year and we always try to find one that is local to us.
“This year we had a vote among team members and with our dog-friendly rooms, in-house dog Ratcher and welcome treats for four-legged friends, it came as no surprise that staff chose Eden Animal Rescue. It’s a really worthwhile cause that we’re looking forward to supporting.”
