Collin is fans’ favourite
CARLISLE United goalkeeper Adam Collin described the 2018-19 season as one of his best ever on a personal level, despite it being a frustrating one for the club as they missed out on a play-off place.
The 34-year-old, from Great Salkeld, who is in his second spell with the League Two club, received four awards at the end-of-season presentation evening, held on Sunday.
He was named player of the season by the Carlisle United Official Supporters’ Club, United’s away travel fans, the Blues’ London Branch supporters’ club, and United’s season ticket holders.
He told the Herald: “I was delighted to get the awards. I think I have had a good, consistent season, and for supporters from all over the country and the season ticket holders to vote for me as their player of the year is fantastic.
