Lunch to mark 50 years at Winters Park
THIS year marks the 50th anniversary of Penrith Rugby Club’s move from Foundry Field to its current Winters Park home and 20 years since the new clubhouse was built.
A celebratory lunch with around 100 guests — some of whom played for the club at the time of the move — will take place on Saturday before the first team game against Blackburn.
The lunch was originally planned for last March, but had to be postponed due to bad weather in the form of the Best from the East.
Among those invited are John Siddle, Roger Campbell, Sam Prokas, John Balmer and Ian Barnes, who were members of the last Penrith team to play at Foundrry Field.
