Maiden first class half-century for Trevaskis

Date: Friday 12th April 2019

FORMER Penrith Cricket Club junior Liam Trevaskis claimed a maiden first class half-century for Durham on Thursday — day one of the Specsavers County Championship Division Two contest against Sussex.

The 19-year-old all-rounder, who finished with 54, put on 103 for the sixth wicket with Ned Eckersley, who made 40.

It was Trevaskis' second consecutive Championship appearance for Durham, having featured in the defeat at Derbyshire last week, in which he made 15 and 27 not out and bowled five overs for just six runs in the first innings and took one for 53 from 14 in the second.
