Motorsport bid to raise £50,000 for hospice

Date: Monday 8th April 2019

AS part of a bid to raise £50,000 for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, Penrith-based multiple British Superbike champions Paul Bird Motorsport and Be Wiser Ducati have launched a “text to win” competition.

Simply text VIP to 72000 for a chance to win VIP tickets for the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone on 21st April.

The winner will receive a pair of passes with full hospitality, a behind-the-scenes garage tour seeing the new Be Wiser Ducati V4 R up close, as well as an exclusive Q&A session with Be Wiser Ducati riders Scott Redding and Josh Brookes. The winner will be drawn at random on Friday.

Texts cost £4 each, of which 71 per cent of all proceeds goes directly to Hospice at Home (new player) or 75 per cent (repeat player). The maximum number of entries is seven per person/mobile number.

The next week is a busy one for the PBM team with the official BSB test at Silverstone on Tuesday, which will involve final preparations for both Redding and Brookes prior to the opening round at Easter.

Before that, tomorrow Frank Bird will be in action at Cadwell Park in his third rally in the PBM Ford Focus WRC, where he and co-driver Jack Morton will be looking to replicate the win on the previous round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship with MSVR.
