Shock at sudden death of Keep Penrith Special campaigner

Date: Friday 5th April 2019

TRIBUTES have been paid to Adrian Hill — one of the leading figures in the campaign against plans to build thousands of new homes on land behind Penrith’s Beacon — following his sudden death on Friday at the age of 60.

Mr Hill, whose family have extensive land holdings at Brougham, died at another family property at Badgemore, Oxfordshire.

He sprang to prominence in the Eden area as one of the driving forces behind the Keep Penrith Special group, formed last year to oppose the district council’s masterplan for the town.
