Eden police are taking to Facebook to hold a virtual drop-in session for people in the district to raise concerns and get advice.

People living in the Eden area are invited to join the drop in session on the Eden Police Facebook page from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, February 18 where they can ask questions and get advice in a COVID-safe environment.

Local police community support officers and police officers will be joined by Eden District Council and Trading Standards staff to offer advice and talk about local issues.

Cumbria police inspector Peter Aiston said: “Unfortunately during the pandemic we have been unable to host our usual monthly drop-in sessions, allowing local PCSOs and community officers the opportunity to meet with the public face-to-face, offer advice, and discuss any local concerns.

“We have therefore decided to move our drop-in sessions online to reach as many people in the Eden area as possible, in a safe way.

“We look forward to the event, and answering any questions people may have.”

People do not need a Facebook account to attend the drop-in session, but will need one to ask questions or comment.
